Philosophy:
Coaching and being an Educator have been my
passion for many years and I value the knowledge
I have garnered through sport and academics.
Over time I have realized to be an effective coach
you need to have a good understanding of the
teaching and learning process. I love discovering
the unique talents of each skater and recognize
that each individual learns differently. Being able
to change my teaching style based on the needs of
my learner, having a good "bag of tricks" and motivating students are some of my strengths. These skills combined with my technical knowledge have allowed me to develop skaters in a rural centre, from CanSkate through to gold test levels, Sectionals, Provincial and National competititve levels.

- Creator of Quinte Secondary School Skate and Dance Program (new Fall 2009)
- Region 3 Coaches Rep
- Ontario Winter Games 2006 Team Coach
- Medalists at EOSIC, Sectionals, Provincials and Eastern Challenge in both singles and dance
- coached skaters from CanSkate up to National level
- EOS Mentor Coach
- Numerous athletes accepted into the Talent ID and Jump Start Programs
- Coached 1997 EOS "Skater of the Year" Erica Downes
- Coached 2005 EOS "Competititve Athlete of the Year" Peter O'Brien
- Coached two time EOS Sectionals "Merit Award" winner, Peter O'Brien
- Completed Level 3 Mentorship at the Toronto Cricket Club with Robert O'Toole
