The Stirling Figure Skating Club is a sanctioned
member of Skate Canada. It is our mission to
provide professional skating instruction for the
members of the community and surrounding
area. We provide our community with a fun,
friendly, welcoming and safe environment
where they can develop their interest in the
sport of skating. We want each skater to feel
comfortable exploring his/her love of the ice, and provide various avenues for self-improvement, competition and exhibition to all our skaters. 

Skate Canada Overview
“Skate Canada is the largest figure skating governing body in the world. Each province has it’s own Section, with Ontario having 4 sections, making a total of 13 sections across the country. Skate Canada provides standards and rules for the figure skating activities of our members. The Association qualifies and appoints judges, referees and other officials, conducts training seminars for skaters and coaches, provides financial support to national team athletes and disseminates information concerning figure skating to the general public. Skate Canada also promotes the National Coaching Certification Program and organizes free skating and synchronized team skating competitions and the annual MasterCard Skate Canada International. From time to time Skate Canada also hosts selected International Skating Union (ISU) skating events. Every Skate Canada skating program complements the others and allows for unrestricted movement and development through the system. All programs are taught by professional coaches certified through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and they are offered at member clubs and skating schools across the country.” ~ Skate Canada

The Stirling Figure Skating Club is sanctioned by Skate Canada and is a member of the Eastern Ontario Section. Skaters from beginner to advanced work hard all year to develop their skills. For many, the skating season ends with a bang as all our skaters perform in our year-end Showcase.
